Helen's Apple Coffee Cake

Serving Size: 16
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cup Sugar
3 Eggs
3/4 teaspoon Vanilla
3 cups Flour
1/2 teaspoon Baking soda
1/2 teaspoon Baking powder
1/2 cup Sour cream light or yogurt

TOPPING
3/4 cup Brown sugar
1/2 cup Nuts
6 tablespoons White sugar
1/2 teaspoon Cinnamon
2 large Apples, peeled and sliced -thinly

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Add dry ingredients alternately with sour cream. Put half of batter in pan. Lay apple slices on batter and sprinkle 1/2 of topping over them. Add remaining batter and sprinkle topping on it. Bake in 350 oven 35-40 minutes.
